The Chilean Beach Pavilion House is a weekend escape for a German/Chilean couple, a place to rest and relax or entertain family during holidays. It features two bedrooms, a large living space with an open kitchen and seating that look out to the view beyond. The house is approached from above, as it is situated lower than the approach to hide its form into the hill itself. This makes room for a wooden deck on the top level, a panoramic viewpoint for taking in the scenery in all directions. The home is the design craft work of WMR Arquitectos, a Chilean architecture firm who specializes in rectangular contemporary homes with plenty of work experience on Chile’s Pacific coast. Despite this home’s grand view and remarkable architecture, it is modest in size. It is the ideal weekend home for its busy occupants, and another gem of design in Chile’s ocean outback.
