The new Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce is the latest in a line that bears the “Superveloce” moniker. It translates from Italian to English as “high speed”, and it represents the fastest of each model Lamborghini produces. Before the Aventador version, Lamborghini showed off the Murcielago Superveloce, a remarkable vehicle of its own but one that can’t match the power of the LP 750-4. It’s a semi-annual relay race where the last Superveloce hands off the baton to the latest and greatest, and you’re among the first to see the next one in these photographs. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces a staggering 750 horsepower. That’s an improvement of 60 horses over the standard Aventador, which is certainly no slouch. It will sprint to 62 mph from zero in just 2.8 seconds, a rare mark even for most supercars. It’ll top out at 217 mph, a speed that requires a very special length of road or a very special kind of driver. Or both. The new Aventador Superveloce will arrive this spring for about $370,000 USD after conversion from Euro. [Lamborghini]
